Lux to Produce Microsoft User Assistance Materials
August 26, 2002 - Seattle
Lux, a Seattle-based online design, development, and documentation company, announced today that it has been chosen by Microsoft's Business Tools Division User Experience group (BTDUX) to produce the Visio 11 User's Guide, and is expected to announce further web and documentation services for Microsoft in the coming weeks.
"We have always enjoyed a solid relationship with Microsoft" said Lux Director Ben Thompson, "We hope to augment their existing efforts as we expand our documentation service offering." Lux founders Thompson and Jayson Jarmon produced User Assistance materials at Microsoft prior to founding Saltmine in 1995, and Lux in 2001. "It's great to come full circle, said Thompson, "and combine what we've learned in both Internet and documentation management services."
The Microsoft BTDUX group provides design and usability services and produces user assistance materials for Microsoft Project, Visio, Publisher, Streets and Trips, and Map Point.
