Center for Medical Imaging Turns to Lux for Online Image
August 10, 2005 - Seattle
Lux, a Seattle-based online design, development, and documentation company, has launched a new website for the Center for Medical Imaging (CMI). CMI is a partnership between Advanced Medical Imaging, LLC and Providence Health System.
CMI recently built a state-of-the-art imaging facility and approached Lux to create a website to compliment the mission of the new facility.
"CMI understands that medical tests can be very stressful and have built an imaging center that has a calming, spa-like feel and they wanted this reflected in the website," said Todd Tibbetts, president of Lux. "Patients use the site to prepare themselves with information, instructions and forms."
The CMI website provides extensive information to both patients and referring clinics about their equipment, procedures, common concerns and registration information.
The new website is the product of extensive information architecture and content management. A key Lux service is the ability to analyze tremendous amounts of content and determine how to present that content on the Web. Lux employs some of the top information architects in the industry, all of whom contributed to CMI's new website.
The site is designed for the needs of patients, which leaves them poised to transform stressful procedures into much more pleasant ones.
The new site is fully compliant with all of the key industry standards, including World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) and the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA). It is also built to support future plans to add new features to the site, such as online patient registration.
