Lux Helps Fred Hutchinson with Sharepoint Implementation
SEATTLE, April 11, 2006
The Lux Group, a Seattle-based online design, development, and documentation company, has recently begun work consulting with the Office of HIV/AIDS Network Coordination (HANC) at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center on the deployment of a Microsoft® SharepointTM Portal Server system.
"SharePoint will help us better collaborate with our partners conducting HIV/AIDS clinical research throughout the world," said Alissa Johnson, program coordinator for HANC. "Lux has provided the expertise to get this project underway."
The engagement gives Lux an opportunity to hone its already considerable SharePoint skills and contribute to the coordination of HIV/AIDS research efforts.
"Microsoft SharePoint deployment is an important part of our business, and we're excited to be able to assist 'the Hutch' in deploying their new site," said Todd Tibbetts, president of Lux. "It is especially meaningful to our team to be able to work with the professionals at HANC as they explore new ways to approach solutions to the HIV/AIDS crisis worldwide."
Lux is an industry leader in SharePoint site deployment, having been involved in some of the earliest deployments of the product, and having a depth of experience in managing SharePoint services, both for Microsoft and for other clients, including FHCRC.
