Lux helps City of Ammon with new image and new website
SEATTLE, January 10, 2007
The Lux Group, a Seattle-based online design, development, and content services company, announced today the launch of a new website for the City of Ammon, Idaho. The launch coincides with the launch of a new logo and brand identity for the city, also developed by Lux
"The City of Ammon is a rapidly growing community, and the citizens can now enjoy a website that is in tune with their civic aspirations," said Todd Tibbetts, president of Lux. "We at Lux also take a great deal of pride in seeing a logo we developed out there representing the city on signs and vehicles."
According to city officials, the new site will make it much easier for citizens of Ammon to do business with the city.
"In appearance and total content it is heads and shoulders above what we had in place a few months ago," said Bruce Patterson of the City of Ammon. "We have had very positive feed back so far."
The new site features a cleaner design and more intuitive navigation. It also allows residents to gather information and to conduct business, such as paying bills, online.
Also, city staff can now use content management tools to update the content on their website.
"The staff really likes it because it is simple, it saves them time, and there is actually less of a chance for errors than with the old manual entry methods," said Patterson.
The site is online at http://www.ci.ammon.id.us/.
