Jayson Jarmon
President and CEOJayson is one of Lux's co-founders, working with partner Ben Thompson to oversee the day-to-day operations of the company. In the six years prior to founding Lux, he served as president and CEO of Saltmine, generating nearly $100M in revenue during his tenure. Jay has developed long-term Internet service relationships with clients such as Microsoft, British Petroleum, and the PGA TOUR, and was honored in 1998 as an Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year. Prior to Saltmine, Jayson was an employee of Microsoft, where he worked as a project lead in the Desktop Applications Division, and as a product manager in the Microsoft Systems group.
Additionally, Jayson has served as an adjunct faculty member of the University of Washington teaching technical project management.
Ben Thompson
Vice President, Creative DirectorBen is a co-founder and creative director of Lux. His work at Lux includes creative team management, human resources, legal, and operations management. In the six years prior to founding Lux, he co-founded and served as both creative director and chief operating officer of Saltmine. His responsibilities at Saltmine ranged from management of an award-winning graphic design and multimedia team to the establishment of a successful London subsidiary. Ben was honored in 1998 as an Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year.
Ben brings over two decades of print and online design experience to Lux. A second-generation graphic artist, he has designed work for software, aerospace, and media firms, including three years spent as a the leader of a design team for the Microsoft International Products group. Prior to the founding of Saltmine, he was the principal of Ben Thompson Design, an award-winning interactive and traditional design firm whose clients included Microsoft, Aldus, SubPop, Spry/CompuServe, Virgin Records, Cyberspace, and many others.
Damon Bacheller
Director of Project ManagementStarting in large advertising agencies in Boston, Damon has managed projects for over 15 years across both ends of the spectrum — creative and technical. While in Boston, he was a pivotal strategist at Harvard Business School's Information Technology group, managing large teams across campus-wide initiatives. Since returning to Seattle, he has produced some of the largest multimedia installations in the world, at AT&T's Global Network Operations Center. He has produced several best-selling interactive music instruction products.
With Lux, Damon oversees our project portfolio as Director of Project Management. He is also on the board for the University of Washington's Multimedia Design and Production program, and is a member of the Puget Sound chapter of the Project Management Institute.
